The following articles cover Leishman's wider medical status, and his successful military life. Of note, he is a Glasgow graduate. However, not mentioned is that, as Director General (1923-1926), he set up the RAMC Association and was its first President in 1925. After his death in 1926, the Leishman Memorial Prize was instituted for the highest aggregate marks on the senior course at the College. This is now awarded for work, usually published, in any branch of medicine. The prize was also initially awarded for the best marks in dispensing exams but is now for best written examinations within each soldier employment group.
