This section contains the proud histories of almost all of the UK’s Medical Regiments and Field Hospitals, both Regular and Reserve, that existed in 2023, up to when they amalgamated to form Multi-Role Medical Regiments. It’s a fitting point at which to commemorate them and their predecessors, and to wish the new units well in the uncertain times ahead.
There are also histories and films of two other famous military hospitals, now no longer, namely Camp Bastion Hospital in Afghanistan (2006-2014), and The Princess Mary’s Hospital (TPMH) at RAF Akrotiri (1963-2013).
